Behind the Artwork:

Recently, Amy has been working on a limited edition of prints, to get ‘inside' the glass:

“My interest is to immerse oneself in the material (glass) until the form of the artwork becomes irrelevant and the viewer is swimming in colour…whichever palette that might be. These micro abstractions allow insight to the hot material process, alongside intentional colour placement.”

The compositions derive from the Paradise finials, creating a continuation story with the original body of work. These abstract compositions invite the viewer to really connect with the detail in the glass, and appreciate the curation of mark making and colour sequence. Each glass element a ‘universe’ in its own right.
