Order Dispatch & Lead Times
We endeavour to dispatch orders as quickly as possible. If we have the artwork(s) in stock, we aim to package and send within 24 – 48 hours of receipt. If we need to request the artwork(s) from the artist, this will vary but we will be in touch to discuss.
If you have purchased a framed artwork and it requires framing to order, our standard framing turnaround is between 2 – 4 weeks. We will always try to fulfil requests if required for a certain date, please let us know and will do our best to accommodate a faster turnaround for you.
Artwork Shipping Costs & International Taxes
Artwork shipping costs are calculated according to artwork size, framing and delivery location. All artworks are covered by insurance when in transit.
When a package is shipped internationally, it may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and/or fees imposed by the destination country. These charges will typically be due once the shipped goods arrive at the country of destination. Such charges are not included in the product price or shipping and handling costs. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility as we are only charging the transportation fee for your order.

Packaging & Sustainability
We take our responsibility of caring for the artworks very seriously, and whether framed or unframed we package artworks with the utmost care and protection using high quality sustainable materials. Unframed works are always packaged flat to ensure artworks arrive in excellent condition, however if you would prefer your artwork rolled please get in touch to discuss options. Here at Smithson Projects we are working on being as environmentally responsible as possible, whilst recognising that the art industry cannot ever claim to be wholly sustainable. However we do take comfort in the longevity of art as a typically non-disposable and enduring product, that often families treasure for generations.In order to reduce waste we endeavour to package our artworks using biodegradable and recyclable materials, and re-use materials where possible. We use a local framer and ship with a local courier who are committed to reducing their carbon footprint (SME Climate Commitment).
Artwork Delivery & Tracking
Artwork deliveries are always tracked and we use professional artwork couriers when necessary. You will receive tracking details as soon as your artwork has been shipped. Where possible we are always in touch to notify you when your artwork is ready and will endeavour to cater to any special requests regarding shipping. You can notify us if there is a particular day that would be more suitable to receive your artwork.
We take every care to ensure that your purchase reaches you safely. However, if there is any damage to your order when it arrives, please notify us via email or phone within 24 hours and we will talk through options with yourself. Unfortunately we will not be liable to help if you leave notifying us for a longer period of time, we are also not liable to any damage due to hanging work that we have not hung ourselves.

We understand that purchasing an artwork is a personal experience and endeavour to help you visualise the piece in your home as much as possible prior to purchase.
If for any reason you are not happy with your order you may request a full refund within 5 working days of receiving the artwork, please notify us via email with the full artwork details and reason for the return. Once the artwork has been safely returned, undamaged, we will refund your monies via bank transfer or PayPal.
