Group Exhibition  | Online

27 November 2024 — 14 January 2025

Smithson Projects is proud to present Soulscapes: a group exhibition exploring the intricate connections between inner emotional states and external environments.

Curated by head curator, Anna Smithson, Soulscapes fuses contemporary figurative and abstract artworks, inviting ten artists working across painting, mixed media and printmaking to interpret landscapes as reflections of place and the inner self.

Through abstracted forms, gestural marks and familiar vistas, the exhibition fosters a dialogue about how different environments shape human identity, culture, and emotional experiences, delving into themes of place, memory, and lore.  Additionally, the human figure is examined as a terrain of its own, portraying the body as a landscape rich in valleys, peaks, and textures.

Installed and photographed at 17 Midland Road in Bristol, Soulscapes will be presented online between 27 November 2024 – 14 January 2025, and showcases several exclusive new artist releases.
