Syracuse #2 draws its inspiration from journeys taken in Sicily, interpreting the heat, colour and light. Cross uses photo-etched textures taken from photographs taken herself, combined with observed colours and shapes. Working directly onto reclaimed copper plates adds further detail and another dimension to the final composition.
