"Industrial Bone China production is on the UK’s red list for endangered heritage crafts and so I was really interested in doing a short course to learn from one of our nation’s remaining experts, Sasha Wardell.

During my days in Wiltshire in Sasha’s studio, I practiced turning plaster on the lathe, and creating moulds for slip casting in bone china. I created this unique set of vessels which highlight the great strength and opacity of this unique material.

Although I created a mould for reproducing these forms - my wish is that they remain as a unique work, to mirror the dwindling scale of this historical process."
